Creating a Discussion Board Archive
Use the archive feature to clean up a Discussion Board that has too many threads.

  1. Logon to your course.
  2. Click on the Control Panel link.
  3. Click on Discussion Boards in the Course Tools section.
  4. Click the forum name to access the forum.
  5. Click Click Here for Archives.
  6. Click the Add Archive button.
  7. Enter a title for the archive in the Archive Title box.
  8. Select whether you want to make the archive available to students.
  9. Click the Submit button.
  10. Click the Modify button next to the archive you created.
  11. In the Select Threads to Move to Archive section, select the threads you want to archive. (In the Release Archived Thread Into Forum section, select the threads you want to make active again.)
  12. Click the Submit button.
