To get a Blackboard Account, follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to http://clackamas.blackboard.com and click on the "CREATE ACCOUNT" button.

  2. Fill in the form. Be sure, when creating your account, to include your email address! You must have an email address to participate in an online class!

  3. Click the SUBMIT button.

  4. Now logon to Blackboard using the username and password you just created.

  5. Click on the "COURSES" tab near the top left side of your screen.

  6. On the right side of the screen (under Course Catalog), click on the appropriate term.

  7. Scroll down and click on the appropriate academic category.

  8. You will see a list of courses. Scroll down until you see your course. Don't click on the course name! Instead, click on the "ENROLL" button to the right of the course name. Don't skip this step! You must click on the "ENROLL" button, or you won't be able to get started in your course!

  9. Click on the "SUBMIT" button at the bottom of the page. You will get a "receipt failure" message, telling you that your enrollment has been forwarded to the instructor. Go ahead and click "OK".

  10. Within 24 - 48 hours, you will get an e-mail message telling you that you have been enrolled in the course. After you get this message, proceed to the next step.

  11. Login to Blackboard. On your "Welcome" page, a link to your course will show under "My Courses". Click on this course link to get started in class.

  12. If you did not click on the "ENROLL" button, your course will not be listed on the "Welcome" page. Go back to step  2, above, and complete all the steps.

NOTE: Classes will be listed in Blackboard on the first day of the term.
