Removing a Gradebook Item

Items that have been uploaded to the Gradebook, or input directly into the Gradebook, may be removed from the Manage Items page.

  1. Logon to your course.

  2. Click on the Control Panel link.

  3. In the Assessment section, click Gradebook.

  4. Click the Manage Items button.

  5. Click the Remove button next to the item to remove.

  6. Click the OK button to confirm deletion.

  7. Click the OK button.

Items that have been created in the Blackboard Learning System Test Manager must be removed from the area where they were created. For example, a TEST created in the Blackboard Learning System must be removed from the Test Manager.

  1. Logon to your course.
  2. Click on the Control Panel link.
  3. In the Assessment section, click Test Manager.
  4. Click the Remove button.
  5. Click OK to confirm.

Note: You cannot remove a test that has been taken by one or more students.

Removing items from the gradebook is a permanent transction. There is no "undo" or "recycle" bin to restore deleted items or assessments.
