Setting Enrollment Options

Instructors can choose "Instructor/System Administrator" enrollment or "Self Enrollment."

If you want to process student enrollments yourself, take the following steps:

  1. Log on to your course

  2. Click on the "Control Panel" link

  3. Click on "Settings"

  4. Click on "Enrollment Options"

  5. Check "Instructor/System Administrator".

  6. Check "Allow students to email enrollment requests to the instructor.

When you select this option, students will click on the ENROLL button for your course. This will generate an email to you, letting you know the student wants to get started. When you receive this email, take the following steps:

  1. Logon to your course.

  2. Click on the link showing in the body of the email.

  3. Under Enrollment Options, Choose "Decline" or "Accept"

  4. Click OK

Once you have processed enrollments, email is automatically sent to them and they can start class.

If you don't want to process student enrollments yourself, take the following steps:

  1. Log on to your course

  2. Click on the "Control Panel" link

  3. Click on "Settings"

  4. Click on "Enrollment Options"

  5. Click on "Self Enrollment"

  6. Click the "Start Date" box and select the date you want enrollment to begin.

  7. Click the "End Date" box and select the date you want enrollment to end.

  8. Uncheck the "Allow students to email enrollment requests to the instructor."

  9. Click "Submit."

When you select this option, students will click the ENROLL button for your course and be able to start class immediately.
