Unlocking an Assignment so Student can Resubmit
If a student has submitted an assignment and needs to resubmit it, take the following steps:
The message will state "This assignment attempt has been removed." The student can now resubmit the assignment.
Enter a Grade for an Assignment
In the Gradebook, a spreadsheet view with all the assignments and tests are listed across the top. The names of the students can be found on the left hand side.
A dash (-) indicates that the student has not submitted the assignment.
An exclamation point (!) indicates that the student has submitted the assignment, and the instructor needs to grade it. Click on the exclamation point to grade the assignment.
A grade indicates that the assignment has already been graded.
After clicking on the exclamation point to grade an assignment, a long, grey toolbar will give you the student's name, the assignment name, a box for you to put the grade in, the point value, and the exact time and date the student submitted the assignment. Click on the button that says "View" to view the complete assignment. You can view:
The description and name of the assignment, as well as the comments made by the student.
A link to their uploaded document to open their assignment.
The student feedback area, where you can make comments to the student about their assignment. (There is a box above that where you can type in the points you give to this assignment. This point value will be automatically inserted into the gradebook and calculated into the student's class points.)
A box where you can add attachments.
Instructor's notes.
