Using Blackboard's Virtual Classroom In the Virtual Classroom, students and the instructor have access to course documents, a white board where you can draw or add text, and the Internet. Students have the ability to ask and reply to questions. Since the interaction is real-time, all the participants must be connected to the Internet at the same time. Accessing the Virtual Classroom
Note: You need the Java Plug-in to access the Virtual Classroom. You will not be able to access these tools if you have a pop-up blocker enabled. You can get a free download of Java software at http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/index.html or at http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp Not all classes use chat sessions. Many instructors prefer to use the Discussion Board in place of chats.
