NOTE is all about flexibility! We know instructors are BUSY people. Joining NOTE is easy and activities are planned around YOUR schedule.
Joining NOTE simply lets the Distance Learning staff know that you are interested in online learning and want to learn more; there are no time commitments if you join, unless YOU want to be active within the network.
How to JOIN NOTE:
If you are interested in joining NOTE, you can do so by:
- Contacting the Distance Learning Department Chair (Steve Beining) at sbeining@clackamas.edu (voice: X2279), Joel Sheller at joels@clackamas.edu, or Ann Boisselle (X2462); OR
- Come to any workshop or session in which you are interested (Schedule Here): OR
- Complete an "I need DL support" request form (Here); OR
- Request DL funding for online course development; OR
- Stop by the DL Dept Office in S179 and let's talk.
Benefits of Joining NOTE:
As a member of NOTE, you will:
Have access to the professional development and design services of the DL department.
Make connections with other online educators through professional learning communities.
Have opportunities to share your expertise with or mentor other online educators.
How to Get Involved:
In order to build connections between faculty, please share your professional development interests by filling out the survey and, if interested in joining NOTE activities, share your schedule of availability. Based on your interests, you can join a professional learning community with other faculty who share your goals and interests.
You and your communities work together with the NOTE Facilitator to learn and apply new strategies for successful online teaching and learning.
Every workshop is customized to meet the needs of the associated community of online instructors, but all faculty are invited to attend any workshop and join any community based on their individual professional development needs.
