NOTE is a flexible professional development support model that connects busy faculty members together for training, discussion, and collaboration based on their individual professional development goals and schedules.

The goal of NOTE is to promote excellent online teaching and learning at Clackamas Community College through exemplary scholarship, research, collaboration and communication.

In addition to supporting professional development, the network provides support for the course development needs of faculty, including shepherding the process for DL funding for new course development and improvement of courses through the CCC network of Quality Matters peer reviewers

NOTE will:

Provide educational opportunities in effective teaching and learning practices and technology applications for faculty professional development

Expand support for adjunct faculty professional development
Be noteable note

Support innovation in teaching and learning

Increase leadership opportunities for faculty

Provide opportunities for collegial interaction

Promote the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning

Identify best online instructional practices within and between disciplines

Provide instructional resources tailored to meet the needs of individual departments

Support training opportunities in best practices within and between departments

Identify indicators of high quality and high performance for online courses within a discipline

Promote high quality online courses

Loosely knit together faculty from different academic departments based on common instructional needs

Develop and promote expertise in online learning within departments
